Mormons

Now I hate to place them in a group alone, but when talking to people they grouped them as one. Grouped as one with different branches.

The Innocents:
People who will deny that they are not wrong and are the most close-minded people you will ever meet. They do no wrong and are angels sent from above. They have their own little cliques within their churches and date anyone who is mormon hoping to find a forever soul mate. This usually starts before graduating high school because heaven forbid if they are not married by at least 22 years old, or just barely returned from their mission. They are and try to be affiliated with any group they can; ASUU, Sororities, Frats, SBO..etc. Utah is like Disneyland in their mind because majority of the population are their kind. You will find them at the singles ward, studying, 80's dancing, or getting frozen yogurt. And if you want to have a great time with them, go to one of their parties! The punch is FANTASTIC, the topic of every conversation is marriage, and you get to stay in your own bubble and hardly hold hands.

The mormon ho's & bro's:
Now these are a little different from the mormons up above. Pretty self explanatory actually, but I will identify so you can spot them out in the crowd.
They let loose, let their hair down and have a good time. Some more than others. Most people would title them as "Jack mormons." They support the goals and beliefs of the church and maintain friendships with those who still practice, but for reasons of their own choose not to attend church services and activities. They indulge in things discouraged by hthe church such as; drinking, smoking, and premarital sex. These types of people are the ones that grew up in a really mormon family and has just moved out and wants to experience everything that they were held back from. Usually joining frats and sororities to get that experience and not being apart of the mormon clan in college because they are "individuals" now. Not thinking about marriage having a wonderful time being bad. They usually start off as closet drinkers and if anyone found out their life was either a.over(takes them a while to get use to the idea they are not doing right), or b. just begun.

Frat Boys

And for you men choosing:

These boys are known as horn dogs, drunks and players. The boys that join probably wasn’t really cool in high school and is now trying to make a name for himself in college. They normally stick around the house while they are sticking to their five year plan. Commitment is not something that these boys want, probably because majority of the time they really talk to girls and have a somewhat “good conversation” is when they are hammered. Go to school typically for five years, go to bars/parties, hook up with whoever they want, and at the end of the day they still have their guys. Don’t even think about getting in a relationship with these guys. Who wants a girlfriend with that plan? In some frats alcohol is given out like candy to whoever wants to party because they all like to have a good time all the time. In other frats they are really stingy and only give it to the girls they want to get down with that night.

When you think frat boy first word that might come to mind is????

Sorority Girls

Going down this road this is what people categorize you as:

These type of girls are upper class bimbos, snobs and party animals. Most of the girls that join are either; girls that didn't have friends and were socially awkward all their lives in school and think they can present a whole new image and be a new person in college now (pay to have/make friends), or they are so rich and snobby that they want to be friends with other rich and snobby girls and meatheads to get down with whenever. They call each other sisters but really talk about each other behind each other’s backs. Along with talking behind each other’s backs they sure know how to steal each other’s guys as well. Always seen laughing really obnoxiously and talking about something stupid arm-in-arm with their baseball-capped, collar-popped, football-obsessed douche of a frat boy boyfriend downing beers. Partying all the time, can’t hold their alcohol and will hook up with anything that walks when they are intoxicated.

Something to think about...

When going into college one of the main questions you want to ask yourself is WHO DO I WANT TO BE? Many people ask themselves this question because when you are entering into this new chapter of your life you can be and become whoever you want to be. Being a Freshman at the University of Utah I know  there are so many different paths to choose from and that is why I made this page.

Going through these different options will help you think about who you might want to become.
